Monsoons are here and this year has been a rather crazy one with the deadly Corona Virus taking a mickey out of us all...  Staying safe and eating right is essential at this point and on this cold rainy day, I've got a recipe which will warm you up (literally)....  Here is how this tasty dish will help you combat your cold... Key ingredients here - Lemon :   High in Vitamin C and antioxidants, boosts immunity Pepper :   Another great source of Vitamin C and antibiotic properties, plus it's a great decongestant.  Ginger :   Reduces inflammation caused in sore throats Chicken broth:  Contains vitamins A and C, magnesium, phosphorus, gelatin and antioxidants, which are known to build a strong immune system and fight off viruses. The protein from the chicken provides amino acids that are used to build antibodies to fight infection. What goes in...  1 Kg Chicken (Cut into Medium Sized Pieces)  1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Traditional Chocolate Fudge ---------------------- 1 Cup sugar 1/2 Cup Milk 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder 2 Tablespoons Butter A few drops of vanilla essence Chopped Pistachio                                 Keep aside a square tin greased with a little butter. Mix the first three ingredients in a saucepan and heat on a low flame stirring continuously until it comes to a simmer. Keep simmering but do not stir again. Test if it has attained the right texture by dropping a tiny amount in cold water, if it forms a small ball which can be pressed between your fingers it is ready. Turn off the heat. Add the butter, vanilla essence and nuts. Pour this mixture in the tin. Top with some more chopped pistachios. Once cool cut into squares.... and dig in ...  I couldn't take photos the first time around, but I managed to capture a few pics of the second time. They looked so pretty so I didn't wanna cut them...Packed a little box for my friends at work tomorrow.....Hope they

Hello there..... It's been a couple of weeks since I decided to start blogging...And after my first post, I really didn't get the time nor the energy to write down my thoughts.... Being a techie is tough, and then top that off with being a mum... I mean I love both roles but sometimes everything seems to be swirling around you, like you're in the middle of a whirlpool.... and then suddenly it all stops.... and there's silence.... thatz usually when my two and a half year old sleeps... hehe.... :-) Anyhow in the middle of work, I suddenly long to have something yummy.... Mostly I blame FB and friends for posting pics of tempting treats they have cooked...[ And No I don't blame myself for sneaking way too many peeks at FB during work!] ;-) I love cooking and whilst managing all my roles, I sometimes like to put on my chefs hat and cook something I've been dreaming of the whole day... Today was one such day, and Chocolate Fudge was on my mind....FUDGE....
